Their lights and heat were turned off. Darryl was sleeping in abandoned houses to avoid having his family see him drinking. He lost his driver’s license. They were in danger of losing their home. His business was in trouble. Regina still prayed and believed in Darryl.
In 2012 their pastors and friends, Jeff and Gwen Harris of Florence, persuaded Darryl to move here for a fresh start. Darryl and Regina say they were welcomed with open arms and they are grateful for the many opportunities in the Pee Dee. Regina always prayed and believed in Darryl.
