He and his wife , Susan, lost their adopted (1965) twin sons that they loved dearly. Chris died in ‘03 and John was killed in ’15. Harvey is thankful for the love and support from the members of their church and the community during the difficult times.
Harvey and Susan have taken their three teenage grand- sons into their home since the boys‘ mother and father are both gone. One grandson was nearly paralyzed in the auto accident that took his father’s life. Harvey says he doesn’t know how he could have coped if he hadn’t known God was with him every moment. He believes his faith is a gift from God.
Harvey says we don’t always know “why?” or “how?”, but “God is working things for His purposes.”
