He has built handcarved pieces for some of the finest homes in the Pee Dee, across the US and as far away as Europe.
He designed a wooden gun safe in response to an accidental shooting that took the life of a child. The gun box has an ingenious lock that “LP” designed and patented.
A teacher at heart, “LP” has taught in the prison system and public schools. He has also been a guidance counselor and generously given his time to teach woodworking.
He is seen on the next page making a bowl he designed . It’s made with four kinds of hardwood, creativity and a generous amount of patience.
