He is powerfully built and was a good athlete at one time. It had to be particularly hard to learn he has Muscular Dystrophy. It will eventually put him in a wheel chair, but he is happy, cheerful and looking forward to the future.
He says he doesn’t dwell on his infirmity. He accomplishes this by staying busy and thanking God for his many blessings. He is thankful for the beauty all around him and the fact that he is warm and dry. His faith has grown in adversity.
He says that many people see the end of life when things go terribly wrong. “LP” now sees how bad things have been as a blessing and difficulties ultimately worked for his benefit. He has seen it many times and is amazed how the Lord has worked in his life. When I left “LP” he was helping 3 baby ducks find their mother.
