He grew up in Clio, SC and cherishes what he says are the benefits of growing up in a small Southern town. He learned to care about and connect with other people. He wants to be intentional and reach out to others whether it is in his professional roll as an Architect, in his church or at his bakery, SweetLeighs Cakes.
Mark says he loves “to help others feel better by being nice and respectful”. It might be a visit or a cake to let them know he cares. He tries to pass these values on to his daughters by taking them fishing or going back home to visit parents and grandparents. He wants his legacy to not only be raising good children, but also raising responsible adults.
He says, “Personality should always be something blooming; positive with happiness and joy.”
