He farms his family farm near Timmonsville, SC as he has for over 50 years. He tills the soil, plants the seed, harvests the crop, dries it, stores it in his grain bins and sells his oats and corn to the consumer. He maintains and rebuilds his equipment during the off season. He is an amazing man.
Once, when I was riding with Palmer, he stopped his truck, looked out over his fields and said, “It’s just dirt, but I love it.”
Palmer has wisdom derived from a lifetime of hard work and solid values. He listens to his customers while he fills bags with grain, shares his thoughts and offers advice.
