During his military service he received over 50 military awards and decorations. ”Rocky” flew a four engine B 17 Bomber when he was 18 years old. And flew in World War II, Korea, the Belgian Congo, and 387 missions as a combat pilot in Vietnam.
Among his awards are the Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star, and ten Air Medals. “Rocky” says he knows that God loves him. And his wife, Roberta, made many sacrifices to raise the 3 children during the 14 years he was overseas. He finished his 37 year career as a Lt. Colonel in the Air Force.
